BEACONSFIELD CONDOMINIUMS
|
Built in the early 1900's, the Beaconsfield was the first apartment high-rise building in Houston. In the late 1970's, the building was converted into condominiums. The facade was retained as well as the 11'-12' beamed ceilings, gas fireplaces, much of the original hardware and the original elevator which is still operated by the doorman. The building, listed on the US Interior Department's National Register of Historic Places, is designed with two units to most floors featuring hardwood floors, a large living room, separate dining room, 2 or 3 bedrooms with baths. The attended lobby is an Old World setting with French doors and arched stained glass panels. All of the units are privately owned, however some are available for sale or lease including a commercial office space on the ground floor with it's own entrance off of Main Street. |

RENOIR LOFTS 1005 South Shepherd Houston, TX |
Inside the formidable façade exists some of the most inventive and innovative one and two-story living spaces ever conceived in a condominium. Soaring ceilings with exposed ductwork, two-story floor-to-ceiling window exposures, massive columns with ornate Corinthian capitals, exposed brick walls, kitchens appointed with the buyer’s choice of granites and marbles for island and countertops, high-end all GE appliances, oversized travertine or slate bathrooms with garden tubs and separate, equally huge showers. All of them hallmarks of the Randall Davis approach to living on a truly grand scale. |
