Approximately 80 percent of the city lies in Ft. Bend County and 10
percent lies in Harris County. The city is served by the Fort Bend
Independent School District. Homes in Missouri City are priced from
$50,000 to $250,000. Two golf courses and many city and county parks
provide recreational opportunities for residents. New home
construction is available throughout subdivisions in Missouri City.
Subdivisions include Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, Brightwater and
Hunter's Glen A new planned community is being developed in Missouri
City that has the potential to double the size of the community. The
new Sienna Plantation, which is planned to have 15,000 single-family
homes and town homes when complete, opened in 1996.
